Look out for an interesting slab of wood or an old ladder to use across your tub. Bath trays are a great surface for candles, a vase of flowers, for resting your book or placing your bathing essentials on. And what better way than to re-purpose a wooden item that has loads of character. The plank will give you the ability to personalize your tub and with very little money - if any.
- Measure the width of your bath tub so that when you find that perfect plank you will be sure to grab it. You may be lucky enough to find it on the side of the road but if not then search at your local demolition yards....... they have loads of old wooden planks....possibly ladder rungs as well.
- Once you have found your plank or rung you may need to sand it to remove any splinters.
- Then you can stain it, paint it or wax it............ lazy? Then leave it.......
- Relax and enjoy............ it's your time now ;)
